I'm with Susan. Wow.

This is lovely. So lovely that I sat with it for much of the day, my words needing time to surface.

I think you sang the Jesus part of "All For the Best." I love that tune. The faster Judas part is fun. The thought of it put a smile on my face.

I imagine you've wondered if you serenaded him on his last day. I know you know what it's like to be on the receiving end of a song from Puchero. I didn't miss, that Mark responded to you, the same way you do to Puchero. What a gift. It's no wonder he said what he did (“If I go to heaven, I’ll wait for you there.”).
------------

When I finished reading this post the first time, I started singing a song. It's another from Godspell. It was an automatic response:

We plow the fields and scatter the good seed on the land..
But it is fed and watered by God's almighty hand..
He sends us snow in winter, the warmth to swell the grain...
The breezes and the sunshine, and soft refreshing rain...

All good gifts around us
Are sent from Heaven above
Then thank the Lord, thank the Lord for all his love...

We thank thee then, O Father, for all things bright and good,
The seedtime and the harvest, our life our health our food,
No gifts have we to offer for all thy love imparts
But that which thou desirest, our humble thankful hearts!

All good gifts around us
Are sent from Heaven above..
Then thank the Lord, thank the Lord for all his love..
I really wanna thank you Lord!

All good gifts around us
Are sent from Heaven above..
Then thank the Lord, oh thank the Lord for all his love..
------

Damn! Ten hours later, and I'm still shivering as I think about the gifts of your Camino. From Mark, and De-Facto, to Dilts, Puchero, and the Romanian woman. And the way I've slowed down, as we've walked. Thank you, again.

Andy

PS: Mark says, "Thanks for leaving me the walking sticks. You can have them back when you get here. Take your time."
