I think you are reading my mind. Sometimes when my husband offers to take the kids for a day or two away or tells me to take a day or two away, I feel the need to say no because I know I will enjoy it so much that coming back to the chaos and noise will be twice as hard than if I just stayed there in the first place. Sick, I know. I love to be alone. Husband says one day you will miss them and all their racket when they have moved on. I said I will miss them but I will certainly never miss the racket. I think.

Oh how wonderful! I asked for simply FOUR HOURS alone in my home for Mother's Day last year. I got a camera. It was easier.

I hope you enjoyed your time!!!! I am certain you missed them terribly but oh...what a gift!

I am insanely jealous of your Christmas present. Gah! I love me some alone time. My house feels so weird when there aren't small people destroying it. It's good weird. But then it's weird quiet. And that's bad weird. And I'll stop rambling now. Found you on Mom-101s list. Good stuff!
